INSTALLATION  
Selecting a Location  
Select a location that is near an  
accessible AC outlet and away from  
electrical machinery, electrical  
appliances, metal walls or filing  
cabinets, wireless intercoms, alarms,  
room monitors, and other cordless  
phones.

disconnect the adapter from AC  
power before you disconnect it  
from the phone.

hours after an overnight charge,  
replace it with a new 3.6-volt, 700 mAh  
battery pack with a connector that fits  
the socket in the battery compartment.  
You can order a replacement battery  
pack through your local RadioShack  
store. Install the new battery pack and  
charge it for about 12–15 hours.

handset’s display. Note the ID number,  
since it is required to communicate

Note: The system can accept up to  
four handsets. If you try to register a  
fifth handset, <W_béýJhoýW]W_dé appears.  
This can also happen when you try to  
re-register an existing handset without  
clearing the base’s memory since the  
base recognizes it as fifth handset. If  
any of the handsets seem to have a  
registration problem, change the  
base’s security code and reregister all  
of the handsets. See “Additional  
Information” on Page 27 of the 43-  
3526 owner’s manual.  
Warning: Dispose of the old battery  
pack promptly and properly. Do not  
burn or bury it. See “Battery Safety  
Instructions” on Page 4 of the 43-3526  
owner’s manual.  
If you have trouble replacing the  
battery pack, take the phone to your  
local RadioShack store for assistance.  
REGISTERING THE  
HANDSET  
The handset is ready to operate. Use it  
as described in the owner’s manual  
supplied with Cat. No. 43-3526.  
After fully charging the battery pack,  
follow these steps to register your  
handset.

1. While the phone is not in use,  
including the intercom, remove the  
existing handset from the base.
